Where our data comes from
Everything on Newcomer Kit comes from official or public sources, and every rule, date and listing links to the page it came from. We publish no personal data, and nothing you type leaves your device.
Source types, by section
- Converters. Clothing and shoe size tables, units, date and number formats and emergency numbers are standard reference values. The currency converter uses the rate you enter yourself; we do not pull live rates.
- Language exams. Laws and regulations as published by each country (for example the Spanish BOE), the official exam bodies (DELE, CIPLE, Goethe, CILS, TCF IRN) and their session calendars. Every value is labelled verified, secondary (confirmed only through a summary) or not confirmed.
- Pet moves. Official government and EU pages for each destination. A rule is shown with the wording quoted from the official page, its link and the date we checked it; what we could not verify is marked as such.
- Volunteering. The organisations' own pages. We show schedule and language level only as the organisation states them, otherwise "Not stated on the page". We have not contacted any organisation.
How we check
- Each fact has a link to its source and a label for how well it is confirmed; we leave a value out or mark it unconfirmed rather than guess.
- Sections show their own "last checked" date. Rules, exam sessions and listings change, so confirm on the official page before you act.
- We give planning help, not legal or immigration advice.
How often it changes
Sections are updated in batches, not on a fixed schedule. The date next to each section tells you when its sources were last read.
